EHS Ram Band Marches in UF Homecoming Parade
The band made a triumphant return to the University of Florida Homecoming Parade on Friday. Congratulations to
everyone who participated. The band received a rousing reception from the crowd, and no matter how tired and hot the students got, the reinforcement from the onlookers spurred them to a successful showing.
The band made a lot of friends on Friday, not the least of whom were members of the PK Yonge High School Band. Members of the Eastside Band took the opportunity before the parade to meet some of the students in the Blue Wave Band, and it was enriching for both groups.
Its clear that the Eastside Band has more fun than any other band in the area. We were singing and dancing our way down University Avenue, pushing ourselves to the limit of our endurance, and loving every minute of it. I'm especially proud of the drumline, who didn't have a chance to rest the whole parade, but instead played for the crowd the entire two miles.
A special thanks to all the parents who helped with the event!
